Like our food can mimic what our body trying to naturally produce. Uh, the wheat we talked a little bit about melatonin last time. Yes and also Sarah toning inhibited as uptakes. So if you're talking like an ss ri it's coming in and stopping that normal hormone production.

Um, I remember one time a doctor had given me like said well hey do you want this? And I feel like you know overprescribe sometimes but I was like okay if it's gonna make me feel better and I think three months later I was like no way. Like I didn't realize how much it was going to affect my hormones. I knew I could get out and exercise.

I could change my diet. I could change my mindset. There were just so many things that we can naturally do to help that natural body process. Um with the estrogen p. C. O. S. And also with the fibroids your environment, your chemical environment is so important to pay attention to.

So not only on the food that we eat, we have these chemicals coming in because of the sprays that are on our food today. Um, you want to wash that off well, you can get a nice fruit and veggie wash if you need a recommendation you can reach out to my vinegar and lemon are also good. We talked a lot about like we talked about lemon water last time, how it goes in and does detox, and lemon also naturally detox is off of your fruits and vegetables.

Do you mean those fruits are not supposed to be that shiny, not at all the vehicles waiting? So. Yeah. No, so the pesticides are just so bad on our food right now. They are all-powerful hormone disruptors and that's why I felt like autoimmune is on the rise, thyroid issues are on the rise and we see it all around us.

A few other things that you can look at in your home or fragrances. Um, I used the, what the, well what the hell does a documentary? Um, but there's, there are several apps where you can scan and see like if um cleaners are good or bad and what's best.

So I did that one time for a college dormitory and we went in and had everybody bring their cleaners in and we scan them. I will tell you that anything that is spray or aerosol scans worse. So if you are going to have a cleaning product and I don't particularly like Clorox wipes because on the back it says to wash your hands vigorously for five minutes after you've used one.

Oh wow, who's doing like who's going to stand for five minutes. But if you are going to use something like that the wipes are always safer because you're not inhaling it. Um if you're inhaling something a spray it's bad. Um trying to balance hormones after the i. U. D. So the i.

  1. D. Was going in and stopping your normal hormone production. So all of these tips that we're providing today can help get the hormones back in balance one because now you've just got that natural process um switch over to plant-based products instead of the chemical products. Lavender and soy can affect your estrogen production.

So um I know we love Asian food we just do like so we use a coconut amino product instead of soy and then if I forget it, yes, I will use soy sauce. You know, use it sparingly, but be careful with your processed foods. Soy is in a ton of processed foods.

Even your energy bars. Just look, um, you know, find one without the soy. Pay attention to your deodorant, your shampoos, conditioners, laundry soap. So Febreze, um, when we were trying to get pregnant years ago, we were in California and I love my doctor out there was phenomenal, but she told me she goes was your husband one of those in college that he was an athlete.

And like he would go around and spray his car and his dormitory and everything with Febreze, she said that they were seeing a huge increase in mail-in infertility because of Febreze, wow. Like if you go back in time, you can see these cycles, you can start to say, okay, why are we experiencing this now?

But didn't see it before? And you know, and I'm not gonna say, we all want to find like the hardcore court answer, that can be difficult sometimes, but just start saying what if there is something to this? What if I can make a very small change to prohibit the continuation of this?

If it is true, you don't have to kill yourself trying to say. Um so yes, plug-ins are bad. Um there was that was, so I had great, I had plug-ins throughout the house, lavender plugins and that's the first thing she had me remove.

Um well, we have in our house the diffuser with the intellectual oils. That's it. I have one on the table over here, but beautiful. So there you go heather. That might be great, yes. So those are good swaps. Um like I've got the little one here in the corner um toothpaste.

All right on the back of most toothpaste, it says um there's a control label that says if swallowed. Um, it's a poison control label saying you shouldn't swallow it on toothpaste. And I didn't notice until I have babies have little ones. And it's like what happens if they swallow this? So um your toothpaste, you may think, oh, it's just a little bit, but it's a little bit every day, twice a day if you brush your teeth morning and night and that.

Yeah, and a little bit adds up guys. So all of these things are natural. Their natural hormones are their hormone disruptors, small changes that you can make to a more natural product, wow. And it all pays. It all makes a difference. Every little thing makes a difference.

So these are your choices. These are your choices and your decisions as to what can I do today to make these big changes in my life. And it may, you know, don't look now. Don't have a 30-day plan. Okay. Have a three-month, six-month plan.

Don't go leaving today and throwing everything away either. But you can switch your budget over to a plant-based product and find some really good alternatives. Again, if you need any recommendations, let me know. I have we have two dogs and people walk in our house all the time and they're like, how does your house?

Not ever smell like dogs. And but I think we just haven't had chemicals in the home in a long time. And look at perfume. The way that perfume holds it sent for as long as it does is because it has the chemicals in it that can stand true for bad smells. Also. Mm-hmm.

Her home is full of chemicals and income. A wet, stinky dog. That smell is amplified. It makes sense with everything. But we can try and de amplifies that. So hypothyroidism, okay, the thyroid is um is such a big topic. And so many people are like, oh I have an autoimmune disease.

Oh, I have thyroid issues. The number one underlying root cause of hypothyroidism or adrenal stress. And I've talked about that low immune function. What happens with low immune function is it's a continuation of the stress and you're not taking care of yourself. So you're under stress that you're not sleeping right.

You're under stress eating right. Your immune system can only take it for so long and then it's going under attack. Um, blood sugar dis-regulation and mentioned you know just trying to stabilize that blood sugar e I distress can also cause hypothyroidism because you're not getting the mineral absorption that you need. Everybody says we're all gonna suffer from the hand sanitizers.

Yes. We carry our own in our purse, I carry my own in my purse and I love walking in and if people want to pump us then I'm like oh we've got our own and you know and we've never had any trouble with that. Um but the ones that are in that you get from the storage have no idea what's in them. So you can put alcohol and water and essential oil or anything in there.

People are not like smelling and testing you. Um just do what's most what's comfortable for you um you know like just do whatever is comfortable for you. Um, so the environmental toxic overload and liver detoxification. Okay, many of you have again have asked about PCOS and fibroids when you have an increase of estrogen from a birth control pill, pregnancy, or environmental toxins.

Then your liver is only meant to detoxify a certain amount of all you know each day. So you can just say, okay God created our body to filter a certain amount, but we've overloaded that system, and our liver can't keep up any longer. So liver detoxification is something else that you can look at to help balance your hormones because you've got too much and your body is just not filtering that out fast enough.

Um, but balancing adrenal hormones can be the real key to burning your belly fat. So like are excited about that. I know once you're in your thirties and that progesterone starts to naturally decrease in our adrenals, and our stress are increasing, the belly fat starts to hold on, and we were not made to have that belly fat. Um but cancer also increases your chance of cancer, and I know that is not something that any of us would wish on our family.

Um, you want to lower that cholesterol helps you defeat diabetes when you're attacking your adrenals and um looking at stress and improving sleep patterns. So, getting back to the, I'm sorry, okay, there, you learn how to burn belly fat. Okay, you know, they just that somebody just rang the doorbell.

Alright, so, to kind of go back over the hormones, um let's put those into three categories. I know it's easier if we can kind of look at those in different groups, but adrenal hormones um that is so important for again, the stress that we're under our thyroid hormones and sex hormones.

And you can look at each type of hormone and see which area you can start focusing on. Or if you feel that you have an imbalance in all three areas. So adrenals again a lot of times the symptoms that we see our blood sugar imbalances. So hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia, your insulin production is not normal, you have hypertension, you have centralized obesity, or just the belly fat.

The altered thyroid function is key with that adrenal hormone impairment. Also memory, alright memories linked back to thyroid and adrenals and then looking at your thyroid, there are the kid nutrients are not being absorbed. So if you feel that your, you know b 12, your iron or zinc are off.

Um looking at thyroid dysfunction is key. Your sex hormones, whether your progesterone and testosterone or off are key to look at those. Um so testing properly, I mentioned the lab test for the hormones, and last time we talked about the lab testing for food sensitivities. Yes. Food sensitivities call cause hormone imbalances because they're going in and they're not allowing your body to react appropriately or have that mineral absorption so that um it prohibits the production and the transport and the conversion of your hormones.

So it's really hard. Like if you're just looking at um whether your body is producing hormones or not, you've got to look at that whole cycle. Um so whether or not it's producing them, um absorbing them or converting them appropriately. And they can we can find this all out with the test that you had mentioned.

Absolutely. And the food sensitivity test and this test are all done at home. Um, the food sensitivity test is a finger prick. It is a blood prick. Um, so you're just squeezing the blood out of your finger. And then the hormone test is a small finger prick. As well as the lava.

Get great results um to all of that. So supplementation that can help you right now. Um and you can look at these and research these on your own. But I love giving some tips that you can leave with um to help you. But um a multivitamin. But when you're looking at a multivitamin you want something with pen authentic acid.

So it’s been five. Okay, your basics and your b. 12. So are b vitamins um really help with our energy. Okay helps get you to the table and ready for that workout vitamins and girls. Yes. Um, vitamin c. Is great especially for immune function but it also helps with your hormones magnesium.

So continue that Epsom. Salt, bath, omega three fatty acids. Yes. Um, those are great. The central nutrients, they're also helping you rebuild any of the damaged tissue. Okay so if you're feeling fatigued but also just extremely sore um after a good workout those nutrients will help your minerals and nutrients.

So eating more healthy fat at night. So the more healthy fat like your, we talked about in your smoothie, you can add the coconut oil, you can add a photo. Um, you can add the GSC, the flaxseed. Those we're going to help balance the blood sugar and that balancing blood sugar starts the natural hormone absorption and production.

So that sounds like the perfect liquid me up before you go to sleep. Yes. Um so balancing the proteins and the carbs. We talked about that. So if you are going to have a glass of wine at five when it's 5:00 somewhere, then grab you a handful of nuts. Um, to go with that.

Like if you've walked into bed at a bar and they have the jar nuts on the counter. There you go. Help keep things balanced, eat more vegetables and keep that blood sugar balanced. Beautiful. You don't know.

I know. So what questions do we have any more questions girls come on in and I just want to do a really quick recap. I think that the most immediate things that we can do that you said we'll have, we'll put Jennifer stroller dot com is how they can reach you. Jack nutrition coach dot com. Jennifer can you, can someone type that into the chatbox please, Jennifer nutrition coach dot com, Jennifer nutrition coach dot com. If someone can type that in the chatbox, um, and then they could book that 20

Minute consult with you and if they have an interest in doing either the food sensitivity test, right or the hormonal test, they can, they can get that through you. Um, one of the things that I want to just encourage our ladies that they can do almost immediately.

You say the database, the toothpaste because I'm me, I'm making a list in my head. The toothpaste. The cleaners, like the laundry, um, deodorant, shampoo. Um, I think lotions as well.

Right? Yes. The lotions and potions can be, have a question here from Lori. She says any tips to reduce the frequency of headaches? Yes. So a lot of things can trigger the headaches’ glory. Um, it can be the, see a ton of people with food sensitivities um and the food sensitivities are triggering the headaches, but also the chemicals.

So the chemical exposure that we've discussed um can trigger headaches. So the headaches are typically a trigger um of something. But we would have to find out if that was a chemical trigger or a food trigger, awesome, awesome. Good. Any more questions girls, we would love to while Jennifer is here, please ask any questions that you may have because I know that there's a lot of our ladies, we serve women uh you know from 35 to 55 so pre-menopause, menopause, post-menopause the whole gamut.

So we've got a question here. Um if you add up all of the beauty products that we put our body over the day, it could be as high as 20. Yeah. Yes. And if you start with shampoo and conditioner, it gets higher than that. So um like our beauty products or lotions or shampoos and conditioners, everything is contributing to that hormone imbalance um which foods increase estrogen levels and should be avoided

Soy. Soy is a very big estrogen contribute. But you know the weight trigger on the thyroid that's huge as well. So if things if all of those are out of balance it can you the food can become a big issue. Um, you strength by avoiding dairy and red meat. Yes, dairy can be a huge inflammatory item.

And then if you find out that red meat is bad for you that is good to avoid. For us, the chicken was worse than red meat. So it is very very individualized. And we found I think it was Laurie that asked the question about the headaches. Um, we found that eggs were the trigger to migraines, wow, it was an egg, it was the egg yolk because the egg yolk carries the protein.

You scramble an egg, you break down the protein source. So if you're eating eggs for protein, a scrambled egg is not the route to go. Are you with egg whites though or? Yes better. It doesn't cause migraines the way the others do.

I did test sensitivity to both but the egg yolk was the trigger to the migraines wow. Lord. I would consider the food sensitivity test. So for joint pain, you want to do anything that you can to decrease inflammation by decreasing sugar, decreasing inflammatory foods.

Taking the magnesium and the Epsom salt baths can really help with the inflammation. Um, c. B. D. I don't know how this community feels about CBD but it has been phenomenal for our inflammation. Um and then constantly little movement. You know so if you're already moving you know inflammation can be a source of inactivity or over-activity.

So if you're not active enough you will experience inflammation. But if you're also overactive then the activity of stress of that activity can cause inflammation. So it would just be looking at what is the root cause of that inflammation. A good alternative for greek, yogurt, and cottage cheese.

So we use it as a cashew milk yogurt. The other thing to look at with yogurt is sugar content. Uh, sugar can be high in yogurt, so it is good I think it's a forgery in, it starts with the elf. And then that one is found in you know, typical grocery stores. But the trader joe's has their brand.

Also if you have a trader joe's nearing you. It is a cashew milk yogurt and they have different flavors. That sounds delicious. Good. What's your favorite flavor? So we do vanilla. Because if we are going to have that, I make my kids put berries and also granola, gluten-free granola to increase that protein. So with that, okay, you know, in terms of instead of the liquid diet, could you have like that yogurt with embarrassing.

It's better than meat because it may just take so long for your body to digest. Yeah, so it's a better evening snack as well as apples and almond butter. So no melted ice cream. Got it. Got it. How important is it to buy organic food first? Non-organic.

We, you know, I would go back to the top 10. You know, there's that list of, you know, the 10 dirty items. Your strawberries, you know, really absorb that all the sprays and chemicals.

It depends on how sensitive you are. Like, my son is very sensitive to GMOs and he also had a build-up of glyphosate and his small intestines. So anything that and it was just because his body was under such attack. Um, and his small intestines had a parasite in them.

It's just, you know, it was an unfortunate situation with anti-acid medication. I talked about that last time. I find more people need more acid in their gut than less. So, anti-acid medication can be the root of evil.

It can cause constipation and it can cause the g. I. System to just have the ph would be off. But back to how important it is. I buy organic. I think it's very important. I know there's not even a guarantee that you know in our American society that restrictions that the FDA puts even on the organic are so lenient.

So there's not that guarantee but just look at your budget and see what you can do and then definitely focus on the items that would absorb the sprays more. So why do a dairy-free diet? Dairy is very inflammatory. It’s going down into the gut and it's so overly processed these days. I mean you're not getting real dairy. So I know one of my older daughters has been introduced to a family that has a goat farm and they have cows and she can go and drink the raw milk.

And it does not cause her any g. I. Issues. So it's just our dairy right now is so over-processed and it's not what you used to get on the raw farm. So it's a very inflammatory food I think of it as the fuel to the fire. So if you already have a sensitivity going on a lot of times adding the dairy and the gluten just gives an explosive reaction and it can make whatever the core root thing is going on in your body worse.

So it's hard to get down and set clear what's going on in the body. It's different for everybody though and that's one of the food sensitivity tests that are so important. Like I have a lady that is a young woman, she's younger than me so it breaks my heart. But she was diagnosed with our a and she found blooming and dairy to be very inflammatory for her.

She would wake up in the morning, they would be able to move her fingers so she started taking a ton of food out of her diet. And this is why a targeted nutrition plan for you can be really important, removed so much from her diet. She had lost a ton of weight. Her obey was basically like asking her, you know, why are you losing so much weight or you're looking at a wreck.

Said this is not healthy for you. We did the food sensitivity test and there were some big triggers for her that she was still eating beneath bananas were one of those, wow, she removed and eggs were so bananas and eggs were her two biggest that she was still eating. She removed those two items from her diet and added, we've been able to add so much food back into her routine.

Now, dairy wasn't one of them, but oatmeal, okay. I mean sometimes you can just get up and have a quick oatmeal breakfast and you're full, you're satisfied. Oh, man. I know it's the fiber, you know, really be a good source of a quick meal.

We've been able to add that back and there are so many things you can do with oatmeal, so you don't always look at it as restrictive. But when you do the testing, you find out cannot have dairy which grains cannot safely eat. It's different for everybody.

One thing that, for my son growing up, he loved milk, love, love, love, love, love had it with his cereal and all the things and but he was experiencing a constant runny nose mucus build up the moment and he didn't believe me, I'm like, let's cut it out, jonah, let's just experiment.

Cut it out and see what happens. Of course, you know, the moment he cut it out over weeks, cleared euro, mucus, build-up, runny nose, all the things.

So this is also something that you got to take a look at your kids, right? If they're reacting in certain ways, like that's not normal, that's not normal. We have another question here from heather, how does nicotine affect the hormones I quit smoking over a year and a half ago using nicotine patches and now I'm having a hard time quitting them.

Nicotine is one of the things, I don't know exactly how it's gonna go in and affect your hormones. Exactly. As well as it will, you're like, it's going to affect your immune system and the overall use of just imbalance in your body, it is going to affect, you know, your lungs.

And if there's anything in the nicotine. So that's my when I start to look at the nicotine, I'm like what else is in there? And the fragrance and when. So all of that plays a part in our overall body. And are hormone regulation. So, Jennifer, we are up to the hour, so I just want to say thank you, thank you so much again.
